La backplane / expander SAS BP14G+EXP (Y8P9X)



La BP cache elle aussi un nombre de composants importants. D'ailleurs elle fabrique le 5V pour la partie ODD depuis le 12V. On retrouve sans surprise du LSI (Broadcom). Beaucoup de composants comportent des données (FLASH, NVSRAM, EEPROM...) --> Statement of Volatility for Dell EMC PowerEdge T440

La PERC H730 (0J14DC)



De la flash NOR, de la NAND SLC et encore de la RAM avec des puces mémoire de 512Mo chacune pour donner 2Go de cache, il y en a 5 en tout, la cinquième est pour l'ECC (stockage du bit de parité).


La batterie de secours (Battery Back-Up Unit BBU) de 3.6V pour le cache (Battery-backed cache). Espérons que celle-ci ne gonfle pas avec le temps.

Puce RAID-On-a-Chip (ROC) LSI SAS3108-2 de toute beauté.

Les dissipateurs avec de la mousse de protection, délicat à nettoyer sans tout bousiller. :)

Mais ça se fait avec du tact.

La carte mère (0X7CK)


En premier un relevé des tensions sur les différentes bobines visibles. Il y a aussi des composants actifs au verso de la carte mère mais pas de circuit conversion DC-DC. Les tensions en blanc sont toujours actives (ALWAYS ON) et celles en bleu ciel sont commutées (POWER ON). L'intérêt de faire cela est quasiment nul, c'est juste par curiosité. Quand c'est en panne on remplace et direction D3E.

Remplacement de la pâte thermique du chipset C621 situé sous le gros dissipateur gris.

Par sécurité, dump des puces flash NOR de l'uboot de l'iDrac (Winbond SOIC8 25Q32JVSIM 32Mbit soit 4Mo) ainsi que du BIOS (Winbond SOIC16 25Q256JVFQ 256Mbit soit 32Mo)
